Default Foam applicator

I have the meguiars foam applicator and I used it last week to apply wax on the car. After using it I put it in a box for next use. Today I was going to use it and find that the foam applicator is full of mold. How can I clean this? Is this normal? What do you guys do after you use the foam applicator? Thanks

I never have that happen to me! After each use I rinse them out and let them dry, and then put them away. The pads are cheap so go buy more.

Thats never happened to me. I usually put the applicator in the wax container (paste wax can) or if I use liquid I wash it out after and let it dry.
