I want to get racing stripes on my 06 GT. But I was wondering if getting a little extra like in the pic is to much or if I should just do a whole custom job. I have a silver GT. This was the best pic I found online and I'll have black stripes. There are supposed to be flames. I used paint to edit the photo. It's a horrible job I know.

OK, so you have a silver stang with black sripes and want to paint flames on the hood? did i get this one?

 

He's got a silver gt and want to put stripes on. I would stick with the straight stripes, or do a whole custom paint job.

 

the flame deals would look nice, but I think it'd just be too much. unless you got a really really good job done.

 

I would go with the stripes...I have the exact opposite of what you are talking about... check the pics in the gallery to the left and u will see the black 06 GT with satin silver metallic stripes! Hope it helps! J

 

Thanks guys. I was just looking for somthing unique. A lot of people have racing stripes.

 

Ihave one solid Lemans type stripe on my rocker panel.about 4" thick and MUSTANG near the front of the door. $30 at an indoor flea market in Detroit. I basically made it on the guy's computer. Same thing, guy at a Flying J truckstop wanted $160. Shop around.

 

It's because Stripes are a lot better looking than flames. I know you want to be unique, but sometimes unique gets ugly.....

 

If you really wanted to be unique I have seen some vinyls, or something, that has like a Mustang head coming from the back of the car.

I think this is what you want, if you decide to go without flames (please do)



Check Baltimore Street Mods for some ideas. I like the Superstripes, which I am probably getting done on my '02, but not exactly.
