Default Bumper Bra Question

Help! I am tired (and going broke) from getting my front bumper painted (no crunches, just paint chips). Until I get the whole car refinished-I'm looking for a quick fix, and wondering

is there a "best" bra for a '98 convertible? Anyone able to tell me which brand is nicest? Best? Better to avoid?

**Please** no vendors!!! (unless you're giving me a discount!!)

Thanks!

Default RE: Bumper Bra Question

The "best" bra would be from Ford but I don't think they still make them anymore. You could always look on ebay because I'm sure people actually get tired of theirs(like me). I've ordered one directly from Ford that has the soft lining that won't scratch your paint. I've heard horror stories of people buying cheaper brands scratching or accumilating moisture and rusting so Ford is the only way to go. BTW the only reason I'm tired of mine on my 03 vert is the constant taking it off and putting it back on during car washes but I have yet to get chips in my bumper/hood (I drive a lot on highways) so a bra would keep chips away. An alternative would be to buy the 3M clearbra which everyone likes a lot better and one I will get soon to replace my car bra.
