Default Tailpipe rust...

My exhaust tips are chrome so they've accumulated alot of rust on them. also some rust on the pipes all the way up too. Nothing that is all the way through yet but it makes the whole car look bad... is there anyway to get it off? And anyway to keep it off? Some of my friends have the undercareage of their car rhino-lined up to the exhaust tips... is that a good idea?

You could buy chrome polish, worksgreat for me,Eagle One makes a great one, butmake sure itsnot an aluminum polish , as that can fade your chrome, you can pick it up at any auto chain store.

Very fine steel wool will get the rust off pretty easy. Works good.

Steel woolshould take care of therust- then use the chrome polish to shine it up. Then use the chrome polish every time you detail the car to keep them rust free.

thanks... I was thinking that might work, but most don't say it removes rust. I guess I'll have to break out the steel whool.
