Yes you can use a quick detailer or mix some water and your cash wash solution in a spray bottle or you can just use a soapy solution out of a bucket. After each area you do just wipe it off with a microfiber towel. And yes...2x2 sections will work fine.

Hmm one more question Juztang... I always use the do it urself car wash with the high pressure sprayer because i like to avoid the swirls... It seems to work good but would using a bucket and sponge in fact be better? And could you explain exactly how to do this effectively without leaving swirls? Thanks

I prefer the 2 bucket method with a chenille or sheepskin wash mitt better. If your car has a lot of mud it would be best touse a pressure washer to get that off first. The bucket with your rinse water will take out the excess dirt so you aren't putting that back into your paint.Really you just want to make sure that your wash mitt is clean and try to get as much dirt out of it as possible. Drying the car properly well help with minimizing swirls also.Like I said before, use a good quality microfiber or waffle weave microfiber to dry with.

Gotcha.. Ok last thing... Do you just wash a small section at a time and use the hose on it as you go? Or do you wash it all really quick and hose it off?

When I use the 2 bucket conventional wash I do a couple of panels and then wash off with the hose. If you want to mimimize water spots it is best to take the nozzle off the hose and let the water sheet off the car. You don't really have to do this but it helps.
