You want to start out washing your caras normal. Then you claybar.Start out doing a 2x2 section at a time. Use a quick detailer or car wash soap mix with water in a spray bottle. Use plenty of this for lubrication and just let the clay glide over the surface. There is no need to apply any pressure. Once the clay gets dirty just knead it to a clean section and start over. When you get your claybar I would break it up into 3 pieces. Use 1 piece and put the other 2 back into the container. If you drop a claybar on the ground you might as well throw it away, it will pick up all of the junk off the ground and put scatches on the paint. Clay Magic is a good brand that you can get over the counter at Autozone.
Next you want to polish. This will clean your paint and bring out more shine and reflection. You can get a Megiuars cleaner polish at Autozone too. Next you will want to protect what you did in the previous steps. Megiuars NXT sealant is also a good over the counter product that works well.
The best way to wash your vehicles is the 2 bucket method. Use one bucket for your car wash solution and another bucket for your rinse water. Do a panel with your wash mitt and then rinse it out in your rinse bucket. This will help get the dirt out of your mitt and help to minimized scratches and swirls. Always make sure to use microfibers to dry with. Waffle weave microfibers are great for drying. They hold a lot of water and are safe for the paint. You can find these at Walmart,Autozone,Target, etc. Hope this helps. Let me know if you have anymore questions.

Yes it will take out the contaminants and leave the finish really slick. A claybar will also take off overspray, tar, sap, residue from your exhaust etc. You can also use a claybar on windows, wheels, and even plastic parts. The way to really tell if your car needs clayed is to do the baggy test. Wash your car and the put your hand in a plastic baggy and rub it across the paint. The paint will feel really rough if it needs clayed.
Ahh ok ima try that in the morning! So just making sure on what you said... AFTER i wash my car i use more soap with the claybar and rub it all over doing 2x2 sections? What about the spot i just did? Rinse it off?
