what would it take to put a 01+ center console into a 97 cobra? not the whole thing, but from the shifter bezel back. would it just bolt in, or what work would be needed? also, is the black from the 97's the same as dark charcoal? if not, how could i match it?

 

i have a 2003 console sitting in my other room and its not the same as the black in the SN95s. basically from what i havegathered just sand it down a bit and paint it with vinyl paint. ive been waiting to paint mine before i install it so i dont know about the bracketing.

after being painted, would the texture and all match the rest? really, my resasons for changing it are the cupholders, and the Ebrake boot looks good...but if the color/texture is going to off, it might not be worth it

 

My reason too haha. But I dont know about that... Maybe you should try testing paints and finishes? I kinda wanted to do a smooth gloss black all across the dash and adding a color and some chrome trim (like gauge rings on a pillar pod and the shifter bezel ring). Just a thought though until i get practice. haha good luck tho if you do decide to do it, and if you find a good paint let me know.
