Im not sure what the extra piece is, I got the 3 piece it came with The center section, the horse, and the bottom cover. I think its the bottom cover thats missing in the 2 piece but Im not sure... I do know I was advised to get the 3 piece though when I asked.

I think the missing part is the middle piece that goes in the back behind the pony but I could be wrong. Just get the 3 piece set and be safe.

The 3-piece kit includes a replacement backing plate that goes behind the horse so that it does not look unfinished.

^^ That's what I've always heard.

You can get the 3 piece for almost if not the same price as the two piece kit-- might as well make it as good as it can look and go with the 3. That's what I'm ordering.

yeah i probably would just get the 3 piece...ive pretty much decided that the first exterior things i want to do are grill del+chinspoiler, and then fog lights
does that sound reasonable?

the only reason it would look bad is cause there would be four holes left in the bumper and since your getting the bk it wont matter, however you'll lose your horse because the horse and honeycomb piece are one, and.. there will be that nasty looking area behind the horse that will be exposed (which is the 3rd piece in the 3 piece set) its your call, i know cobras look pretty nice without the main grill delete piece (the one that attatches to the front bumper and hides the holes...) so its what you think looks best if i were to ever get a new front bumper (ie: cobra nose) i would not put the front piece back on
