91 hatch gas shocks

Default 91 hatch gas shocks

what is the gas shock info needed to find replacement or can i just adjust my current ones

the problem i am having is that every now and then when i put the hatch up it will close on its own

ne advice?

Those should be easy to find at any auto parts store, but if I recall they are pretty expensive.Or try 50resto.com There aren't any adjustments. If you are too cheap to buy new ones there is a way to fix them so your hatch will stay up. Raise the hatch and prop it open with something - then take a hammer and hit each gas shock in the middle JUST ENOUGH (don't destroy it [8D]) to put a slight bend in it. Now when you raise the hatch it will be beyond the bend and hold it up . But it won't help the fact that the hatch is heavy and not the easiest thing to lift

yeh it is hard holdiong it up with one hand and putting **** in the back thanks for the info though
