Mildew on vinyl vert top
Recently I have noticed mildew growing on my tan vinyl top. I have tried the 303 Convertable top cleaner and the 303 Aerospace Protectant.
They work a little bit but, I cant get all of it off , and it just keeps coming back. Its making my top feel dry and im worried its going to crack.
If anyone has any advice it would really save me.

Don't know about convertables, but I had a vinyl bed cover on my truck. I was out of state for about 3months, and when I got back it was covered in mildew. Driving it around helped get rid of the problem somehow, then I gave it a really good washingwith car wash soap and it went away and never saw the mildew again. Don't know if that helped or not.
Spray Nine.
Safe on vinyl, and will kill the mold or mildew or whatever so it shouldn't come back.

There is a company in Virginia that sells vinyl cleaner and protector. I spoke with a woman named Peggy there. I just got some and used it. Cleaned the mildew off right away. The protector is supposed to last for several months. go to http://www.i-marinesupply.com/store/...PARTMENT_ID=90 give it a try. I called the dealer where I got my car and he said that he hadn't heard of mildew on the roof, but I've seen a ton of cars with it.
When my mother wanted a convertible, she wasn't sure which top to get. She looked at a lot of convertibles and most of them were tan and she came to the conclusion that white and tan get dirtysooner or later. Where there's humidity, you will eventually get mildew on your vinyl top. Black tops probably get it too, but you don't see it as much.
