Default Help . . . How to remove Silicone

The previous owner before me had a body kit on my current mustang, i took it off now what remains is the leftover silicone i got off as much as i could. The rest i have no clue how to take off without damaging the paint, and yes i tried just scratching it off but its holding on tight.

Im in great need of help. . . i clearly dont know much about body work so im hoping someone here does.

I dont know for sure, but i'd suspect that heat might help. Try using a hair dryer. If that doesn't work, try to find/borrow a heat gun. Otherwise, go talk to someone at a body shop.

They make a rubber wheel with an arbor you put in your drill. It's used for removing pin stripes, but you could use it to remove silicone too. You can pick one up at your auto paint supply store or maybe even order one from 3M online.
