There is a way to do it by hooking up spark plugs in the pipes. They talked about it on TV once, but I cant remember what you hafta do.

Back in the old days, they put sparkplugs in the tailpipes, and ran the car VERY rich, so when you'd stomp on the gas, viola! Flames a-go-go.

They have flamethrower kits, but I think they are illegal in all 50 states because they shoot 20 foot flames and that kinda causes a danger issue to come up. Also I think that no matter what way you get flames to come out of your tailpipe without special headers and exhaust that the heat of the flames will cause heat spots and eventually burn a hole through them, but I could be wrong.

Correcto.

I think the flames will destroy your bumper and stuff if you don't have special coating on it or something. All in all, after I saw them on tv and wanted them to **** people off, my boyfriend said it would do more harm to my car than good.

And yes, they are illegal.

i could always put nitrous injectors in my mufflers and................ end up in jail! i know enough cops around and they say if they are less than 3 feet in length it is OK as long as it is not burning other peoples cars.

The kits they sell for it are pretty safe, you just have to change your oil allot. They use an extra coil and transfer the spark to the pipes away from the engine. That way the engine doesn't burn any of the gas going into it at the same time as it is shooting flames out. It just feeds the gas out the exhaust to produce your flames. All that fuel going through the engine without being burned cause something called "fuel washing" which is why you need to change the oil allot more often.
