Maaco paint job
You DON'T want a maaco paint job.... they suck and it's not worth it. If you are going to invest in repainting your car you should get a legitimate body shop to do it, it will last a lot longer, you can choose the exact. (I mean exact!!!, down to the amount of metal flake in it if you go silver) Also it will give a homey, retored feeling to the car that maaco and a factory can't produce. And for a simple color like silver or black, etc. it won't be too much more than maaco.
solid dark colors are the most complex..the pearl flake is the worst...maaco..is a coin toss...i know some guy's that should start up there own buis, but they are young and do it is as a hobby...same token iv'e seen some nasty runs
1+ good point! Probably because most people dont know what to expect from a paint job and the bottom line is they are cheap! If you asked people what orange peel is they would say it is the skin of an orange! I have been to many car shows and the quality of paint jobs and what people expect when looking at a show car is relatively low. As long as a car produces a shine with minimal swirls the car wins for its class? The average consumer most likely just wants a solid paint job that produces some shine. I know most of the people on this forum know better, but I expect more and basically you get what you pay for and dont ask to see pics of previous work as the camera can hide many flaws as well as show them. You need to see the work up close and in different light. JMO J
i would use macco in a heartbeat but i would ask lots of questions so i would know what expect
i wonder if you guys that say NO MACCO no matter what ever shop at walmart or kmart same differance a daily driver, a race car a ,a cruiser would all look good w/macco a show car of course not but as much as we love our cars how many on this forum have show cars???? if you do you already know a good paint job starts at several thousand dollars

I`ve seen Maaco jobs that have turned out alright, IF you do some of the prep work eg. take out the headlights, tail lights etc. Seems like they paint these things along with your tires for no extra charge
. Some of their shops actually do a good job. On the other side of the coin, I`ve seen specialty/ high end body shops do really crappy work also.
