Default question on cleaning chrome rims

OK, I have an '06 Saleen with the 7 spoke chrome Saleen rims. This is the first time I've ownedchromed rims like this. What is the best way to keep the inside of the rims clean (i.e. the area you see through the gaps between the spokes). Is there some sort of wax/coating I can put on to make cleaning easier in there? Thanks for any advice

Poorboy's Wheel Sealant is a really good product.

i use smartwax rim wax on my rims and my GF's chrome rims.
It works fantastic, but you can use just about any synthetic sealer on them, like meguiars #21 or even NXT.

Thanks for the recommendations guys. What should I use to get the surface clean initially? Also, how often should I seal it- when I wax the car (twice a year) or more frequently?

Depends. Is it a daily driver? If so you should probably be waxing your car more than twice a year depending on your products. I use Meguiars quick wheel cleaner.

Smoothy - I have the same wheels with 2600 miles on them and have yet to use anything other than my Meguires Spray Detialer and a couple micro fibers. They still look brand new - all the way through the rim. Just be sure to take of your watch and/or braclet as the spokes and calipers like to eat those items

thanks for the warning

Actually my hands are too big to fit well between the spokes so I think I'll take the wheels off to give the insidea good cleaning and coating. Once I'm set with a clean surface, it'll be much easier to spray with cleaner and hose off to keep them looking nice.

And it gives you a good reason to jack up the ol' ride and fire up the air compressor/air tools
