Waxing Scratches
Yesterday after i washed my car i thought i would apply another layer of wax. Well after applying the wax and going to buff it off the microfiber towel wasnt gliding like it usualy does. It was real rough taking the wax off.... Well it put a bunch of tiny scratches on it! What caused this? I applied the wax in direct light and it was pretty warm so did i let the wax dry too much? Or did i not take propper care of the microfiber? I run the micro through the wash after every use..... but maybe it got dusty?
My real guess is that i let the wax dry to much..... can this be the cause? I use the Meguairs gold class.

you should have waxed in the shade. this is more than likey your problem. im no expert on the makeup of wax chemicals, but i believe that if you apply in sunlight then the wax doesnt dry/harden like it should. then you probably tried to take it off and it basically smeared the wax and scratched your paint.
it was probably a little bit of everything you said
dried wax is too hard to get off paint, causing scratches
wash your microfiber separate from everything else, things that link etc.
micros are supposed to be washed by them selfs on a light wash with warm water, that way they stay fresh and pure

I agree that drying too long and expending too much effort to remove it could havebeen the cause -- hard to tell without closeup pics (and possibly befores and afters).
If you're forced to wax in the sun, try Mothers Carnauba Cleaner wax, or if you don't mind paying a little extra, a synthetic like FX SynWax is ultra easy (I have found that both are easier to apply/remove than comparable Meg's products).
