took my car outta the garage today to take it up and down the street and i see that a friggen metal piece fell on my front bumper and scratched the **** outta it, So i think i'm just gonna get an aftermarket bumper and I was wondering how much will it cost to get painted????

also what type do you guys prefer? its a zinc yellow 2001 GT.

 

cobra bumper, saleen bumper, but if you do a front bumper, it might look awkward without the whole kit. id say fix what you got, or find an exact replacement, and place a mach 1 chin spoiler on it.

 

i was thinking the cobra r one and i already have a mach 1 chin soiler but the scratch is on the side of the bumper... i should try to buff it out.

 

if its real deep, i dont know. id take the mach 1 chin spoiler off and try, it couldnt hurt. if it doesnt work out with this bumper, id go stock replacement and keep your chin spoiler, cobra, saleen, or maybe another nice aftermarket one that wouldnt require an entire kit to match.

let me add this too..

my front bumper has 3 paint chips and my rear bumper has 2 long but thin scratches, i bought it used. the chips in the front are small and i am probly the only one who notices them. so a scratched bumper isnt the end of the world, but definitly try to fix it. my scrathes are in the letters M U S T A N G so im getting the black vynal inserts to cover that up, and it will look sweet. the front, nothing i can do, cant afford new bumper, already got the chin spoiler, and like i said, depending on how bad it is, you may be the only onme who notices, but try to fix it anyway.

 

yeah thats true. its just its an eye sore and it kills me to have a something like this cuz' i'm so uptight as you prolly are about your car. i can't believe it happened i am so pissed but o well i'd rather buy performanec mods that get another bumper. i'll hopefully figure somethingout that won't cost me hundreds of dollars

 

its gonna be about atleast $500 for the bumper after its shipped to your house. You then have to prime it or have the shop paint it for an extra 100 usually, and paint is about 150-200 as well. Saleen bumper all the way.

It all depends on how much you want to spend. The cheapest way wouldd be to fill in the scratches and get it repainted, but it really isnt worth it cause you can probably pic up a cobra bumper for a couple hundred and get that painted. I love the saleen kit but it might look weird with a stock suspension and wheels. either way its what ever you like and how much money you want to spend.
