I need some information. I bought a 2004 mustang and it has the 40th anniversary medallions on the fenders. But I have noticed other 2004 mustangs with the medallions but they appear different. The space around the ponies on my medallions is black enamel while others are cut out with the body paint showing through. I am asking which are the origianls and which are after market. Or maybe even worse was I sold a 2003 tricked out to look like a 2004?

 

run a carfax, that will tell you what year it is. also, i have a 99 and it has the 35th anniversary emblems, black lettering on the polished emblem. its authentic on mine, but i dont know about the 04s

 

Mine are original and they have the black around the pony, so yours are probablyt he correct ones.
