does anyone know what to use to clean an engine and how to do it??????

i am takin my entire engine apart and beadblasting it right now... if your engine has that gray dull look and you want it to shine and look like it has a machined surface this is the best way to go i think

ive been told to cover all the electrical and spray the entire engine with degreaser. im going to try this today and if it works like they say i'll let you know.

Degrease and rinse with pressure washer (don't get too close, as in keep the pressure washer far back and "rain" on the engine).

No need to cover anything up unless you have an exposed air filter (aftermarket).

This was the way we did it when we detailed and never had any issues. I've probably washed 500 engines.

I agree with Abom,I have been detailing for 7 years proffesionaly and that is the way I did it. Never had any problems.
