Default waxing silver car

This is the first silver car I have owned - used to own red and black. Does anyone else have trouble applying wax because it is had to see on the silver (even after it dries)? Any tips? Never expected this problem. Thanks

The same goes for white and silver vehicles. You have to pay attention where you apply wax because of light color wax goes on clear and you have to know where to buff it off at. Good Luck!

You might want to look into using a sealant on your silver. The sealant will add more reflection, gloss, and brightness plus it will really make your metallic pop. My new Hyper Shine Sealant looks great on light colored vehicles. You can also top it after about 10 minutes, most other sealants require at least 24 hours before you can top them.

Wax in a garage with good lighting and you should be able to see where the wax is by the dullness rather than the shine of the paint. I waxed my white Navigator in the garage under flourescent lights and didn't have any troubles. Plus if you do a section at a time its easier to remember where you are working.

Unfortunately - no garage.

What does "top it" mean with the sealant? I used Klasse All-in-One and it came with a High Gloss Sealant Glaze. Are either of these what you consider sealants?

Thanks for the help.

Yes Klasse is considered a sealant. Topping can be adding another layer of sealant or topping with a carnauba wax.

Thanks. I was looking at the Obsessive site and some of the products sound interesting. What would be recommended for an all-in-one solution? I wash/wax my own car but I don't really like to have to do more than one coat of a wax/polish product when detailing which I do maybe once every 3 months. I live in S. Florida so the sun is a factor and I don't have a garage.

What is the best wax/polish product ifI only want to do one application (every three months or so) after a wash. (e.g., I know Zaino is considered great but way too complicated and time-consuming for me to use)

Thanks again.
