Default Meguiars 3 step hard to remove?

I have been using Mothers California Gold 3 step systemon my car and my parent’s cars with good results. I just recently helped my friend detail his car with the Meguiars3 step system. The system worked great but the products were extremely difficult to buff off compared to Mothers. Why is this? Does this mean it is a better product and is cleaning and polishing more thoroughly? I have not tried both product lines on the same car to compare them, has anyone else had experience with both products. I would just like to stick with Mothers because it is so much easier to buff off. Any comments??

Read the directions! Meguia'rs three step is put on and wipe off. You don't allow it to dry for a long period! If it's hard to remove just spray some QD on it and buff it off.

You're not the first I've heard say the Mothers 3-step is easier to use than the Meguiar's, offering better results. I've only used the Mothers.

Oh, and...

The 3-Step Mothers is known as the Ultimate Wax System -- Pre-Wax Cleaner, Sealer & Glaze and Pure Carnauba Wax (paste or liquid -- I like the paste). Of the major chains, Pep Boys offers it as well as the Meguiar's Deep Crystal System (steps, 1, 2, 3). You can read about the Mothers system under the Preparation, Seal & Waxing section of their Detail Guide. It's generally advisable to clay first, even with the Pre-Wax Cleaner. These 3-steps are great for dark colors that have spiderwebbing and you don't have a good polisher to otherwise polish them out. The systems also offer excellent depth and shine on paints in good condition as well.

I find all of the Mothers products very easy to use, and I hear others saying so as well. I really like their FX SynWax, too.
