How To Remove Emblem Glue???
I took the fender and trunk lid emblems off and replaced them with different ones. I got most of the glue off with rubbing alcohol, but there is still some on there. Would I want to use rubbing compound on that? What brand would be a good one to get? The compound won't hurt my paint will it?
use a hair dryer. put in on high heat and hold it close to the glue.then rub your finger one it once it heats up,and move your finger around, the glue with form into ***** and you can easily pick them off your car. after that, use a clay bar.
I used the hair dryer when I first took them off and god most of it off. Now it's just kinda like a film on there. Should I try the hair dryer again, or just go straight to the clay bar?
just clay it and that should take it off
rubbing compound can be dangerous if you dont know what you're doing with it
be careful not to hold the heat gun too close
you have pictures of the emblems or your car?

I'll post some pics up tomorrow when it's light out so you can see what I'm talking about. I don't know about the WD40. Sounds kinda risky. Is it safe for paint???
Adhesive remover is all you need, get the good 3M stuff. You can use rubbing compound on a rag after that, and no it wont kill your paint or any other myths. Just dont use it all over your car if you dont need to, it will also take out fine scratches if need be.
Thanks guys. I'll have to try some of those out. I was gonna get some pics posted of the trouble area, but we had tornados yesterday and wasn't able to get around to it. Almost lost the pony when driving home from a tree that fell like 10 feet in front of me. [:@]
