Default Two Year Old Stripe removal

Hi Guys,

Anyone else have a torch red 05 mustang and removed the stripes from the doors…Recently? I say recently as I’m curious to know if not only did they come away cleanly after been on for a couple of years, but also was there a color fade that made it look worse than before you started?

Not curious about how….curious about was it worth the effort?

If you use an eraser wheel you can easily take off any vinyl graphics, pinstripes etc. Use it on a geared cut off style grinder, it has to be geared and not go over 3k Rpm! Normal die grinders are 20k Rpm+ and will not work. Chances are the clear underneath the stripe will be a slightly different shade, there isnt too much you can do about that. You could try water sanding with 3000 grit and then polishing it out.
