Default No Hose Cleaning

Just wondering how you guys who live in apartments without access to an outside hose wash your cars? I've heard about the QEW method, any of youtry this?

I mainly use the Optimum No Rinse in my detailing business. It is very similar to the QEW but works and looks much better. This saves a lot of time, you don't have to worry about water dripping out of cracksa and crevices, plus you don't get water spots. The No Rinse also gives a nice gloss and a rain x type effect to the glass.

I carry this on my website also. Let me know if you have anymore questions about it!

I assume you use the Optimum No Rinse in the same way you would the QEW?

BTW- You can also make several gallons of Quick Detailer and Clay Lube with the No Rinse. So out of a 32 oz. bottle you are really getting a lot for your money.

Sounds like an interesting product & looks like a good alternative for me until I can buy a new, less crappy air compressor to blow water out of all the molding/etc out of my car.

Do you still hose the car down to begin with? When I initially hose, I spray the snot out of the car in hopes of removing as much dirt/dust possible before using a mit.

After you wipe the car - is it really effective with carrying all dust/dirt particles off the car? I'd be worried that it wouldn't entirely pull all the dust/dirt down the car and off the car...

I'm sure it works, just a little nervous before I go ahead and try it!

No you don't need to hose the car off first. The only time I ever hose a car off first is if there is a lot of mud on the vehicle and then I proceed with the No Rinse. We use this 95+% of the time on our details. I hate to break out the hose now after using the No Rinse. If used correctly you will not get any swirls or scratches at all, even on black vehicles. You can use the 1 bucket method or 2 bucket method. For black colored vehicles I like to use the 2 bucket method just as a precaution. One bucket for rinse water and the other bucket for the solution. You dip your wash mitt in the solution and do 1 panel at a time and dry off right away with a microfiber towel. Then take rinse your mitt out in your rinse water, dip it back in the solution, and do another panel. Do this for the whole vehicle. No Rinse has polymers and surficants that lift the dirt so it doesn't scratch, it also leaves a just waxed look.

Almost everyone that has tried the No Rinse ended up getting it by the gallon since they like it so much.

This sounds like an interesting product and something I may have to try since I live in an apartment complex and the hose provided for car washes is less than ideal. I have a question about wax though. Does this stuff act as a wax also or would I still be better off applying wax after using it?
