Default Black is a pain...

i purchased the pc, poor boys sr1 and sr 2.5, acrylic glaze and opti seal from Justin. I completely detailed my car broke down all of the abrassives the products are great, the car shines incredibly however in sunlight I can still see swirl marks all over. Though the products removed most of the swirls, I'm confused as to how everyone gets rid of theirs completely. Justin's helped me out a ton by answering questions and sending me websites with how to videos but I still can't get rid of them and i'm extremely **** when it comes to my car. Maybe i'm pc illiterate, i've followed everyones instructions from the forums with no luck. Can it be I don't use enough pressure to remove the swirls? I'm frustrated beyond belief

Sometimes it takes alot more time than you think it does. You may need to work the product longer. The PC will do the work but it will take more time than say actual makita/dewalt rotary buffer. There is a learning curve with a pc. Dont give up though. And remember to put the right amount of product on the pad with the right speed. I believe for paint correction, a PC has to be on speed 5-6.

i smear it onto my 2x2 area then use speed 3 to spread it and then move it to speed 5 to work it in. At first I used too much and didn't work it enough and my paint was hazed, maybe now I didn't use enough? there is no hazing but there are still swirls and it's killing me.

I think its gonna take more time working with the PC. I did some swirl removing on my car and I spent a hour on one quarter panel.Ask Justin, he'll be able to help you out better than I can. Did you polish after using the SSR2.5?

nope, just used the acrylic glaze. I think you are right, I only went over the panels once, maybe i do in fact need to spend an hour or so on each. My driveway is so narrow that i can barely do the sides of the car. I need to finda place to do it where I have more than enough room and enough lighting to see everything. I definitely need more time, it took me 6 hours but I feel like maybe I need 10 lol. I'll try doing more passes over the areas and doing them more than once to completely get rid of them. I appreciate your help as these swirls are driving me nuts considering my car sits in my driveway all day.

Try spending more time on it. I know what you mean. My car is a daily driver and I have a gravel driveway (i know, i know). One of the best things I've found is a Mechanics stool. You can get them at wal-mart for about $20. It raises up and down. I use that thing all the time. Another thing. When you get done with the compounding (ssr2.5)you need to polish the paint. Then apply your glaze and then apply your Sealant or wax. Justin's Light Polish would do good. Followed by the glaze, then OD-Wet Wax and then top that with some Natty's Blue (optional). Spend more time on it and you should get some good results. Take some pics and post them!

yea im definitely going to try doing it again and taking longer. What kind of polish would you reccomend? The ssr2.5 and 1 are swirl removals right? I'm going to try it all again this weekend, if i have no luck i'm just going to wax it and forget about it for a little while.

EDIT: I tried taking pictures but considering my 07 is new they don't really show up in pictures but they are eye sores in person lol. I will try again in doors with different lighting.
