so while my mustang's in the shop (small wreck)
they gave me a charger to rent.. let me tell u how bad it sucks driving that pos around btw

i take a look at the charger and it's got 2 small surface scratches on the right passenger about a foot long and a small chip on the door handle
Nterprise gave me the rental
- should i take it back to them like that and have them give me an estimate there or get it touched up
- what's cheaper?

i didn't put rental insurance on it which is why i'm asking
i dont know how much maaco or whatever shops like that charge

 

Did you do the damage?

They would likely be more pissed if they found you had it repaired without notifying them.

of course it wasn't there when i drove it off the lot either so.. .
let me call them tomorrow and give them a 'what if' scenario and see what they say

 

How did you end up with the rental? If you got the rental through your insurance company, it's likely that rental insurance is included in the deal. That's how it works with my insurance...

 

well it was a minor accident that did require some body work
they gave me the charger through my insurance yeah and right before i drove off with the loaner, Nterprise asked if i wanted to insure the vehicle for an additional charge
i said no cause it was expensive... i'm now debating if that was a uh, bad move or not [:'(]

 

It's always a bad move to turn down the insurance! IMO they should just include it in the price.

I would let them do the estimates, if they are unfair or seem inflated, get the estimates yourself.
