Default Juztang... need some help...

Thinking about springing for a PC... what products would you recommend for my car? Thereare some medium swirls that need to be corrected. I'm really looking to get a very wet and glossy finish. I dont thin the PO did anything other than wash reguarly. Thanks in advance....

If you get the PC I would recommend going with either the Poorboys or Optimum Porter Cable Kits. Both kits are excellent and will save you some money.

The first thing I would so is claybar the whole vehicle to remove any embedded contaminants from the paint and leave a silky smooth finishing. Next I would use the PC and remove swirls and scratches plus bring out more shine and reflection. Now you can apply my Wet Glaze to add a lot of wetness and depth to the paint. Lastly top with my Wet Wax or Poorboys Nattys blue for even more wetness, depth, plus protection. You could also use a sealant like my Hyper Shine or Optimum Opti-Seal for high durability.

Let me know if you have any product questions. Thanks!

Justin

Whats the difference in both packages? Is there one that would be better suited to my color?

Both will work fine. The Poorboys come in 16 oz. bottles and the Optimum are 32 oz. Both will take out scratches and swirls the same, the PB's tend to dust and little and the Optimum doesn't, you can also work in Optimum longer without drying out. Both brands will work fine and what color you have.\

For the rest of the products I recommended the Wet Glaze, and Wet Wax for you specific color.

Go with the Optimum kit like he said. I bought it and have done 4 vehicles and have been very happy. True to his word - the stuff goes on nice, can be worked in for several minutes for good paint correction, and does not dry up and create dust. Here is what I did on all 4 of my projects....all with very good results.

Orange cutting pad with Optimum Compound
White polishing pad with Optimum Polish
Grey Finishing pad with carnuba wax

You can add the Glaze in there before the wax like Justin said, but the 3 steps definitely provide a fantastic result. Just turn the speed up to 5-6 on the compound & polish steps, apply a little elbow grease (but not too much, you want the pad to spin not sit there and vibrate) and work it in with several slow passes.
