Default Meguiars 3 steps

Hey guys,

I was at pepboys picking up some tire shine and i was just looking at the different types of waxes/polishes. i noticed that Meguiars has a 3 step process for polishing your car. Do they mandate that you use all three before you wax your car? that could be pretty pricey. If someone just wanted to use 1 of those steps to get rid of minor swirls and prep for wax which one would they use. Step 1 the paint restorer or step 2 the polish? Just wondering since i never seen that before.

Thanks,

Default RE: Meguiars 3 steps

The Megiuars 3 step kit will work fine, they aren't the best in the world. The Paint Cleaner is a chemical polish that will clean the paint and remove oxidization, it doesn't have any abrassives. The Polish has light abrassives and this is what you would use to remove light swirls and scratches. These products have to be used in the shade because they will be really hard to come off if they are in the sun. They will also leave the white residue.

My products are a little more expensive but I think you will be a lot happier. They can be used in the sun and don't have any residue, they come off clear. I really think you will like the finished product a lot better with my stuff. If you wanted to use my Light Polish and Wet Wax, this would be the equivelant to this whole Megs system. My Light Polish will remove light swirls and scratches, remove oxidization, bring out more shine and reflection, plus prep the surface for the wax. My polish can also be used on headlights, plexiglass, and windows. My wax will add more wetness and depth plus add your protection.
