Default How long does it take to paint

My car has been at the body shop for the past two work weeks, this is the third work week currently. They said that the car would be done Tuesday or Wednesday (23rd or 24th), but when I called they said they got the body work done but they have to paint it and it won't be done until sometime next week. Now I'm getting agitated with this crap because they've had 13 business days to put on a new door and fix a hole in the quarter panel. So now after 13 days they only have those parts on and they still need to paint it. Exactly how long does it take to paint a quarter panel and a door?

don't rush them.....these TV shows where they rip appart and rebuild something into a show car are so unrealistic its not funny. Earl Shieb will paint your car in an afternoon if you want. Tires and all. Be patient

Are they still in business? I remember as a kid, his shops used to be the big joke when it came to bodywork and painting. Didn't think any of them were still around!
