Default Engine Cleaning

Does anyone recommend something to clean the engine up. My stang is going into the show and the engine looks
like crap.

Thanks,

I just use the stuff at the carwash. Spray it on and let it sit for 10 seconds and then wash it off. Looks brand new.

Daniel do you cover anything before sparying cleaner and washing it down? Like the distributor or anything? I got some stuff from the dealership and they said remove the air cleaner and cover the distributor with plastic...

O.K. This is a common misunderstanding...YOU DO NOT HAVE A DISTRIBUTOR. Only carbeurated ahve distributors.

Spray with simple Green or Wheel cleaner, let sit for a min...then pressure wash the solvent off. Just avoid spraying the alternator.

Mike should i leave the engine running when i spray on the cleaner or start it up after i spray it down to help evaporate the water? when u say avoid spraying the alternator, you mean with the cleaner or when I'm rinsing it?

not all cars have distrubuters, non of the modular engines have a distributer.
