what do you mean only carb's have distrubutors?! pretty sure all cars do..?
NO. I know what your thinking of. I used to have a 90 lx 5.0, and under the hood it looks a LOT like a distributor...but it's not. Distributors run off of drive belt maybe???

wow are u guys kidding, all mustangs up to late 90's have a distributor, they dont run off a belt the run off the cam which tells it when to fire in each cylinder, the newer cars spark is controlled by the computor. As far as ur 90 lx u definetly had a distributor. You should always cover it up and keep any water out of it when washing your car and also if u have an open air filter like a mac straight shot cai then u need to cover up the filter or it will be awhile till it dries and u can drive ur car. also u dont need a high pressure washer to clean a hose at ur house will do fine just let the simple green or what ever ur using work its magic and hose it down. theres nothing like have a clean engine but not being able to drive it cause u shorted out something

I'm pretty certain my 96gt does not have a distributor.

Prior to the mod motors, ford used distributors. If you have stang earlier than 96, you have a distributor.

Many newer vehicles/trucks have distributors past 1996...

Don't say only carbed vehicles do, that's ignorant.

I would steer clear of simple green, it will etch aluminum parts. And for the record it will flat out eat a mirror! My wife grabbed it by mistake to clean the bathroom mirrors, it ate the mirror wherever it was sprayed. I ended up replacing both bathroom mirrors. Biodegradable my *** lol.

[sm=yikesomg.gif] I can't believe some of the stuff I'm reading here. You need to quit giving people advice here and start asking for some yourself. I never even owned a 1990 mustang, or any mustang besides my 03 GT I just got, and I even know you had a distributer in the lx. And like it was already stated the distributer runs off of the camshaft not a drive belt. [sm=laughat.gif]

My 95 has a distributor, I know this for a fact...I replaced it last year.
