how annoying! 90$ ebay headlights and now the pass side is so messed up! Is there a cure for orange peel? wet sand ? super buff? very very hideous.

no, you should be able to change [IMG] to [img] and the link should work. but as far as the "orange peel" goes, the lens is just clouding up. i have heard of people having good luck using metal polish on their headlights, but there is also a very detailed write up in the stickys of this section giving you step by step directions on how to wet sand them and polish it out. hope that helps you out.

 

i wetsanded with 1000, 1500, 2500, then 3000 grit sandpaper, then polished with Meguires Plastix. worked great for me. Only issue I had was that I found out there was a clearcoat on my lights that I actually had to sand completely off as that is what was chiping off and messing them up.

Eventually a group of us are going to get a locl shop to mix a bit of black in a batch of clear to re-spray our lights for a smoked effect, but we wre waiting for better weather and a few more local guy s to get in on it for a price break.

 

soo start 1000 and go up to 3000

 

did the 1000 today , its nice a smooth have some more to go , Ill take pics tomorrow to show that it looks like ***. after 3000 I should try and buff it somehow?
