How do you guys go about cleaning your exhaust pipes? Is there a good product to remove the tough dirt thats stuck on it to make them nice , clean and shiny?

blue coral chrome metal paste works like a charm rub a LOT on and let it sit.. it will take off the black chunks of **** off your tail pipes.. i do it to my bassani tailpipes.. i take em off and clean em up they look great after .. polish it i also use it with a buffer on the tailpipes.. stuff works like a charm.. it has a strong smell i think its the ammonia but it works hella good.. very safe on metals

steel wool will work on standard amuminum/stainless exhaust .. BUT if he has any type of finish or chrome or polished tips the steel woll will destroy it trust me i found out the hard way..

O2 GT, do you use the baffles? If so, do you soak them in anything? Mine are looking pretty ratty. The nylon or whatever broke in a few places and so there are random strands hanging off them when I take them out and they are pretty much black. I'm gonna try the blue coral metal paste this weekend.

Yes i took my baffles out they are in a bag in a garage(i hate them).. and you can get the stuff at pep boys definitley it comes in like a plastic jar blueish with a dark blue cap.. Next to the metal polishes... I have used most of them and this one seems to be the best.. the whole trick is putting it on and letting it sit for about 10 or so minutes then taking a polish rag and taking it off.. andy clumps that are still on can be easily flicked off with your fingernailsthen polished again its magic

I have a bottle of turtle wax chrome polish that I just apply to a basic cloth rag and rub it onto the tips of my flows. It works great and cleans them up good. I also us it on my rims when a spot is harder to get off.
