Default racing stripes

Ok i bought racing stripes (double 10 inch wide stripes) for my 94 mustang. There a pain in the *** to put on. Ive pretty much wasted my money and was at the point i knew i didn’t have enough left and still wanted to figure it out and couldn’t. The closest i got was with no liquid but as you know that doesn’t work well. So i figure id get a professional to do them. I called a place they said about 70 dollars an hour. That’s not terrible itll prolly take them 30 mins to get the measurements and about 1 and half hour to place them so thats about 2 hours so abour 140 dollars(correct me if im wrong if it takes longer)

Now this is what blew my mind. I call this other place after telling them vinyl and apparently they wont do the bumpers(lol) they wanted 500 to 600 dollars. Are you kidding me?

Some places i called don’t even mess with them. What is my best option here?
Also im not car savy that much so if i made a mistake with anything ive written please correct me cause i dont know everything or even half of everything.

Thank you

Actually $500 is the going price for bumper to bumper 10’ stripes. That includes them custom making the stripes and putting them on. I found a guy that will do it for $450 and I’ve seen his work and it is pretty good. I’m like you and had no idea how to do so I just pulled out the 450 and had it done instead of trying it myself and getting frustrated. I’ve been on other threads on stripes and I’ve seen anywhere from $400 to $600 for the complete install.

Good Luck

Thanks man, im just gonna do it myself with a few people tomorrow. I went out there the other day with what i had left of the vinyl and was able to do it, its tough and once you screw up its start over. If i had the money id higher a professional. Thanks again!

I used about a 1/4 of a bottle of dish soap in a 1/4 bucket of water, put the water where your stripes are going, use a credit card to get airand water from behind it. Took a long time, like 3 hrs. In total, it cost me a little over $100 incuding stripes

Yeah i did it myself i got some pics in the v6 forum. I was doing it wrong the first time. With what i had left i went out and did it another way and got good results so i bought another kit and did it. 4 hours :P! I cant belive a trained professional would charge 400+. But it is high risk of a mistake.
