I have a black 01 it looks nice has 1 or 2 small scratches but it has some swirl marks all in the paint exept for the the hood bumpers and spoiler which I have had painted and added. My question is there a method or product worth trying to fix this I was planning on a wax this weekend.

gonna get a clay bar and some wax remover and some spray wax.

any suggestions on anything else to use???

the main reason I am waxing is to get rid of these swirls noone has ever said anything about them and people tell me I'm crazy when I ask them if they see it(meaning I must be **** about it) I have an orbital buffer but will be doing this by hand. I have never used the buffer on my black paint a never will. thanks for your help.

 

Wash the car completely in Dawn Dish washer to remove all the wax
Get some swirl remover to take out the swirls

If you use dawn to wash your car then you need to re-wax it because it stripps all the wax off the car. The best wax I have used is Rejex http://www.corrosionx.com/rejex.html If you use this stuff I was my car once a month and just use a California Car Duster to keep it clean.
