Default Streaking on tints?

Anyone had (or has) this problem? I have a 2007 mustang with 35% tint on them, and my windows on the doors has streaks on them. I went to another spot thinking it was shoddy work, and still the same problems. Any suggestions?

try some stoner invisible glass. i use the aerosol can with two all purpose microfibers. one of remove the dirt and product, followed with the other one to buff away the streaks. works great. also, the aerosol can will greatly reduce the amount of over spray. one can costs something like 2.88 at your local wally world

i agree with the invisible glass, that stuff works wonders. but are you talking about streaks of dirt or streaks as in like scratches?

Yeah get the moleskins and install before using the new tinted windows and you are set. Big problem on the S197 stang and I think it has been solved for the 2008.....(Ford can be cheap on certain things). Probably fine scratches but if not and it is actual streaking get the invisible glass...stuff works awesome!

How can you possibly use aerosol cans and not get overspray on the car? Especially if the wind is blowing?

Are you just spraying it onto the microfiber cloth?

I just use obsessive details quick detailer that's already on a microfiber cloth. Streak free.

As for the moleskins, that's not just an issue with 05+. It's happened with both of my Mustangs.

i usually just use the invisible glass on the inside of my windows, the outside windows get clean when i wash my car. but i also spray it directly on the towl most of the time too. never really had an issue with overspray. but to the OP, def go with some moleskin before you get your tint replaced.

Moleskin works very well. I just installed the moleskin this weekend, very easy install and protects my new tint. Before I could just hear it scratching my windows everytime I rolled them up and down. Now I hear nothing. +1 on moleskin
