paint job
choiceing what do to about paint is killing me, i dont wanna spend to much, but i dont wanna just take her to maaco. i think i want it black but that is hard to maintain and body work needs to be perfect.

That car would look good as a metallic silver. If you want cheap do it yourself or see if you town has a school with a collision repair program that will paint your car for cheap. Thats what people where I live do. Also to save money I would buy single stage paint, that way thereis no clearcoat.
I personally would not recommend a single stage system. Dupont's Chromabase lineup is great for the money. As for color, I can't really say. I personally love that mint green color (Calypso Green, I think??) on a Fox, but that's a choice you have to make....
I like the Vo-Tech idea. Also you could go to a local shop and talk with the painter about doing the job on the side. This has saved me several thousand dollars on a paint job in the past. I had a 1995 corvette painted from a local painter who did it in his off time for cash. I paid $800 plus supplies $300 and help to prep. He did the paint and the car looked showroom new.
