if im not mistaken, most of the black deep dish wheels have a polished aluminum lip, not a chrome lip. if that is the case then the chrome polish wouldnt do much. you are going to have to get an aluminum polish (which is more abrasive) and it should eventually work itself out.

The other challenge is to not wear away the coating on the black spokes.
Simply put, these wheels need refinishing.

But in this case the polished aluminum lip is clearcoated, and an abrasive polish will wear through the clearcoat. Though that's not generally what you want to do, it's one way to remove the clearcoat.

It's not the end of the world though. If you be careful and mask off the black paint, you can use a 2000 wet sand paper with a spray bottle of water and sand the clear coat off. With enough work you can get yourself a scratch free mirror finish.
It will take a couple weekends of free time if you don't have much confidence in what you are doing.
