scratch marks??
Ok, another question, that is why I joined the forum
...ok, when we got the stang it had this and I guess it is not a big deal but it bothers me when I have it freshly washed and I can see them. I dunno if this is like the post about the swirls int he balck paint but it is swirls. It is like something abrasive was used when it was first washed or something. It is not real noticeable to many people but me. In the sun you can see it. I dunno if this is something in the original waxing, if maybe I need to take it back down to just the paint and re wax, or what. Does anyone else have this problem and what is your suggestion as a fix? My stang is tthe sonic blue color in case that helps.

Exactly. The problem with black, and other dark colors is that EVERYTHING shows. Dirt, tiny scratches, and the like. I'd try something like he mentioned above ^^ or try the wax remover and rewaxing. If it's not that noticeable, it's probably not a big deal. I notice little quirks here and there that other people said they'd never guess were there unless i said something.
I have a white car and a black one. Aren't I lucky! I hate washing both of them because everything shows. But the black mustang gets washed more often!!!!!!!!! I don't have to tell you why.[sm=gears.gif]
Sounds like you have swirl marks, try a swirl remover and when you apply it (or anything else) use a back and forth movment (not circular). As always prep is critical, make sure that you car is clean and you are in a well shaded area. Due yourself a favor and buy some micro-fiber towels, you can get them at Sam's club fairly cheaply, they are yellow and very soft, once you use these babies nothing else will do.
Alrighty. yeah I have the sonic blue stang and then a white cavalier. But hubby drives the cavalier so I make him wash it, even though he rarely does and I have to break down and do it. But the stang gets washed WAY more often. Hubby said when he finally gets his truck that he will wash it more often, beings the cavalier will be gone.
