2000 Cobra R Splitter
what is the difference between the Cervinis Cobra R Splitter and the Ford Splitter?? Is there any?? It just looks to me that the cervinis splitter is maybe not as low or doesnt stick out as far, since the cervinis wing is a little lower as well. Tryin to decide on an overall appearance for my 00 GT...i think i finally decided with the Cobra loook over the the Razzi kit which is what i was lookin at as well...also any helpful sites for the 2000 cobra r kit for cheap? thanks guys
Here are some things you should know. Unlike a real Cobra R hood. Even the FRPP cobra hood, cervinis cobra R hood, etc... do not have functionaly open vents to let the heat out. A couple of obscure aftermarket ones do however. The splitter of some places is removable (like the real cobra R) and this generally looks like dirt compared to one that is molded in. Steeda sells front splitters which are coincedentally manfactured by razzi for sale exclusivly by steeda so you can expect high quality fiberglass. There are some carbon fiber cobra R hoods out there which may save you some weight off of your front end. You can paint them or leave the carbon look if you like it (though it's a bit ricey in my opinion).
thanks fallstar...lots of good info. Im gonna check out the steeda site asap and go from there with the splitter. I'm sure you're right that the removable looks like dirt compared to a molded splitter, only thing is im in north jersey on some noooot so flat roads...it might be a good idea if i get a removable ya know? And as for the hood, it will definitely be painted black to match my car, the carbon fiber is too ricey in my opinion too, believe it or not the whole cobra r setup was too ricey for me at first. But the more i look at it...damnnn the more i want it.
