I know this has been posted many times but how much does a stang weigh? I know the gt's are a lil heavier because of the v8 and leather/system and all that , but how much on an average does a stang weigh? I was under the impression that stangs weigh around 3,200 lbs, but my friend that works at ford says that they weigh around 4,000 lbs. Please let me know thanks..

 

GTs dont weigh 4000 lbs. cobras dont even weigh that much (3700 i think they are)

newer GTs are about 3500-3600.

foxbodys are like 3100 for lx's and 3200 for gts i beleive

 

I agree....the title for my 89 GT says a little more than 3100 lbs...of course I weigh about 205 so I need to shed some weight so I can kick *** on the drag strip

Every vehicle should have its weight listed on the door sticker. I never even noticed it till my friend pointed it out to me :P
