Remove anodized finish

Is it possible to put a different color on a part that is already anodized? Can the anodized finishbe removed, either chemically or physically? Or can you just paint over it?

Ive always used easy off oven cleaner to remove it.Im not sure about redoing it though.just make sure to wear some gloves,that stuff burns!
