Flaking Clear Coat
So I went home to help my mom with some stuff around her house today and my little brother decided to be nice and wash my car. He used a power washer. Now my clear coat is flaking pretty damn bad. I just polished it up to check the paint and it appears the basecoat is 99%, one little spot on the spoiler that's going to need to be touched up. I'm trying to figure out what if anything I can do to fix this (it looks almost like water spots). I'm thinking I will probably have to take it into a body shop to have it fixed. Does anyone know what I can do to fix this, or if i'm better off leaving it to the pro's and idea what something like this would cost? The sides of the car are pretty clean, just a couple little flakes up by the windows, but the hood, roof, trunk, and bumpers are pretty bad and will probably need to be smoothed out and completely re-cleared.
thanks.

OK, so I'm pretty sure it didn't go all the way through the clearcoat. I got some rubbing compound and that got the spots out very easily. This however brings out another problem. I'm getting all the little scratch marks from the compound (looks kind of cloudy) I used some mequiers deep crystal polish afterwords and it didn't really get rid of them. Are there any products/techniques I should use to get rid of these little marks?
Thanks.
Thanks.
Well I spent about 3 hours last night buffing the hell out of my car, got the roof and the deck lid looking like a mirror again, just going to take quite a bit more time and a lot of elbow grease to get it back into shape.

I don't think they are, if they are then I've never heard of a water spot so hard to get out, the scratchX did the job though.

Are you sure they're not water spots? Maybe try a little vinigar and water to see if it takes the spot off. Your clear coat
shouldn't just start flaking after your bro washed your car.
My $.02 worth.
