Default Air pump to Cats question



im in mid installation of my flowmaster cat-back/off road x, my question is , their is a pipe running from my air pump to my 2 cats which i do not know what to do with. i think its to pass emissions but soon(hopefully) i will be cat-less .do i need to weld a new plug of some sort on my X? any help would be great. blueovalstangGT@aol.com</P>

Do you have to pass emissions test in your area? If no, then don't worry about the pipe. If yes, then you need to find a way to reinstall it. </P>


The pipe pumps fresh air into the exhaust to help the cats "burn off" better. It helps them maintain operating temps to reduce the amount of emissions your vehicle makes.</P>

If your air pump isnt hooked up then get a pipe thread plug and put some loc tite on it
