Hey guys I took my car to ford because the window switch died when i got it back i noticed there was a couple scrapes on my door. I took it back a week later because it messed up again, and they scraped it again. These are little minor things but its the fact that I brought the car in one way and it came out all messed up. In my mind i believe if i brought my car in, it some come out in the same condition, does anyone else believe this? So should i have ford replace the panel or should i just let it go? there minor scraped but they wont come out. I have the car under extended warranty so it shouldnt be a problem..

oh yeah i had to go back 2 times because they ordered the wrong part too! and i just got my car back on thursday... so should I have them get me a new one? what would you guys do??

 

Well I would atleast mention it to them. Don't demand anything, just tell them what happend and see what they say. If they are a good dealer, they will take care of it. If not and they blow you off then its up to you how badly you want it fixed. The only problem you may incounter is not saying anything when you picked it up. But considering the scrapes are right where they were working you should be ok.

 

how bad is it? door ding? can it be wheeled out with a buffer or is it down to the metal? I would for sure say something to them. Tell them it wasn't like that before you dropped it off.

 

Their scrapes in the plastic, like if you scrape the chin spoiler like that its not major but i cant fix them and it wasnt like that when i dropped the car off...[:@] Its not on the outside on the body, its on the door panel inside

 

Make them replace it. Any semi-respectable dealership should fix the problem.

 

just let them know what happened. any dealership that actually wantes business will try to ssatisfy their customer as good as possible. any good dealership would fix it no questions asked. if they wont replace it, then i wouldnt go back to them or recommend them to anyone else.
