Default Claybar failure

So last month I used the meguiar's claybar kit to do my car. Definite improvement.

However, there are several things that I have been unable to take care of. I have some small white specks that have bonded to the paint. I have no idea what it is but I can feel it when I run my finger over it. The claybar didn't take it off and neither does washing the car with no rinse or meguiar's gold.

There are also some stains on the paint. I have no idea what the hell it is. Tree sap maybe. Who knows. But the clay failed to remove it as well.

What can I do about this crap? Will it take a polish to remove it?

Rubbing alcohol worked very well for tree sap on my car. It will strip the wax off, so I would spot wax the area when you are done. I am pretty sure that it is safe for paint and I thought I got the idea on this site. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

I would also like to know how to remove those small white specks, I also have a lot of those on the hood. Neither clay bar, washing, or waxing removed it....

the only thing that i could think of is get a dirt nib sanding block and just take it down cuase it seems likes it had adhered to the clear coat pretty good.
get like a 1500 grit dirt nib block and move progressivly up on grits and then buff it out and re apply the wax to that area

Try the mr. clean magic eraser. I used it on scuff marks and stuff and it worked well for me. I just washed over the area as soon as I used the eraser though.

if u can feel it on the paint then wet sanding should def. take it out. if it was me i would have a detailer do it if its the entire car. if its just a few small spots maybe try it yourself.

Try mineral spirits on your white specks before you sand it.

There is a great product called goof-off which usually takes most things off. Or a little paint thinner will work. We do it all the time at the detail shop I work at. As another guy said, you want to wax the spot right after. What color is the car? A good buffing or CLEANER wax may help also.

if you wet sand, just remember the factor clear is only maybe 0.005" thick

Sorry don't know how to remove, but I had similar white specs when I had my 06 BLACK GT. I think they are really obvious on a black car. Anyways I was told by other forum members it is possibly iron or metal contaminant from shipping. I have no idea how true that is, but may help you go in a different direction for possible removal
