its not going to shine like the original paint. it doesnt have a clear coat on it like car paint. i think you made a big mistake by putting spray paint on your hood to begin with. what year stang is it? your probably going to have to get the whole hood repainted to make it look good.

02, the spray paint color does match to the orginal, just "not as shine" after the buffer, if i can't get it polished, i'll just spray paint it again w/o buffer it with sandpaper

are you sure that this was an aftermarket hood scoop and not the factory? please, do yourself a favor and step away from the spray can. spray paint is not the same as auto paint. and you also dont have a clear coat to go over it. the clear coat is what gives it the reflection and shine. but your best bet at this point is to take it to a body shop and get it repainted. its prob gonna cost you close to $300 though. im pretty sure you have ruined your hood though. post some pics if you can and we will be able to tell better.

Sorry to hear that it went horribly wrong for you. It's not going to shine the way you want and it'll never be hidden as there isn't a way for you to properly blenda couple random spots in the center of your hoodwith aspray can.

Just pinch your pennies for a while, get a couple quotes on having the hood filled & painted professionally. You'll spend anywhere from $150-300+ depending on who does the work and what kind of primer/base/clear process they use.

What you should have done was just gotten a correct paint code paint pen and just gone over the resin circles, let that dry, and then apply a layer of clear coat also maybe from a paint pen. Then wet sand with 3000grit until the resin circle pretty much levels with the surrounding paint and then use a rubbing compound and then finally polishing compound. You would have gotten much better results.
