yeah i should've use a paint pen instead, just got a quote from maaco, cost approx $250~280 for a hood repaint, hehe i week's salary from my summer part time J

As soon as you take a buffer to spray paint it will take it off because normally it will heat up the clear coat to take it down to the level of the scratches. Not good. Also, if you get your hood painted, chances are that it won't exactly match the rest of your car because the odds of getting the exact same mixture and color are slim to none. Many people do this over and over again and wind up having to get the whole car repainted because it just looks ridiculous because there are different shades all over.
