Spray Detailer Wax???
I wax my car with the Meguiars 3 step (cleaner, polish, carnuba) system with a buffer once a year and Ive just started using the Turtle Wax Ice spray detailer in between waxes. Is it worth it? I cant tell a difference and I want to know if Im just wasting money on this stuff. What do you guys use to protect your finish in between waxes????
I never really liked the Ice stuff. I've never tried it so I cant knock it to bad. I just find it strange that you can use 1 product on your entire car- wax the car, put it on the tires and then come back and use it on your dash. I just dont get it. I guess thats those advance polymers for ya. Anyway. I'd get some Optimum Car Wax. Works the same way and it works. Leaves a nice clean and slick finish. Justin sells Optimum products. His products are also nice too.
Turtle Wax Platinum is a (imo) the best line that TW has ever made. I love the TWP tire spray. The liquid and paste wax are pretty good OTC.
Meguiars NXT 2.0 is a nice OTC wax. One of the best (if not the best (imo)) OTC waxes is Meguiars #26. If you want a really great shine. Top NXT 2.0 with #26. I was really impressed with this combo.

you need to wax more often than once a year, as stated. also i'd ditch the yellow wax that #3 has to offer. doesn't look great and has almost no durability. if you don't like to wax often then i'd suggest a sealant or some collonite wax. most collonite waxes will last about 3-5 months depending on how you treat the vehicle and how often it gets washed.
as a wax booster, after every wash i'd recommend duragloss aquawax. you can spray it on your paint before drying, then just dry like you would normally. great looks, lasts a couple weeks, "boosts" (makes last longer) your wax, and acts as a lubricant between the towel and the surface. it's only about 7 dollars at your local carquest and a bottle will last a good while.
