Help! Spots!
the well water here at my house has iron in it or something so if you hose the car down and dont dry all the water off it'll leave spots that dont come off...anyways my car was parked in the driveway and the sprinkler nailed it while i wasnt home so the car sat under the sun all day and the water spots baked into the paint nicely..i tried washing it first but they didnt come off, then i tried caranuba cleaner wax and they still didnt come off..so i tried compound in one spot and it helped very little..im not an expert when it comes to detailing cars but could someone tell me what i can do to get the spots of because they look terrible
Try a 50/50 mix of water and vinegar mixture, this should break up the mineral deposits. Sometimes it will require a more abrassive polish with a buffer to remove waterspots. I've even had vehicles that were spotted so bad that they needed wetsanded to remove them.
Just try the water with vinegar and see how that goes.

Don't mean to hijack the thread but I have a related water question...
How would I know if my water coming from the hose is safe enough for car washing and does not have any particularly unnecessary annoyances?
Thanks

i think every kind of water will leave water spots unless treated with a filter. that spotless wash rinse thingy..you attach it to the hose........ i cant think of the name for nothing. but it works great.
