Default Trim Detailing???

I was wondering if anyone has found anything that works well on keeping the outside trim(mirrors, molding) on the car black with a nice gloss to it. Ive been trying different products but it only seems to last a day or two; I want something that works better and last longer.

in order to get all the accumulated crap off your trim you should scrub it down with some simple green cut 3:1 via fingernail brush. theres this product called meguiar's hyper dressing, i think it only comes in gallon sizes and a gallon is about 25? dollars. i use that, it's water based and can be diluted 10:1. i use 10:1 for my trim and 3:1 for my tires.

the HD will last at least a week, which is good cuz weekely washes should be done. if it rains it tends to get a little more matte due to it being water based. the HD is great because it doesn't attract dirt and it's not all oily and messy.

i use a paint brush, like a 4 inch wide... clean out and cut a square hole on one sideof a clorox bleach bottle(or something that is simialr.) put any tire dressing in clorox bottle after cleaned and cut and wipe on with brush. works great for black cars also instead of spraying tire shine all over your car as you do the tires!!

Meguiar's Trim Detailer. Never had any build-up from it. Lasts a long time, too.

Back to Black has worked well for me also. It won't put a crazy shine on the trim but it doesn't attract dust and it stays black instead of drying out quickly.

Would yall recommend the back to black for extreme sun exposure? I live in an apartment complex that doesn't have covered parking, so my car sits in direct sunlight, and texas sunlight no-less, most of the time. I've seen some bleaching of some smaller trim pieces already and the car is not even a year old yet, but it sounds like the back to black should do the trick.

I always put on a trim dressing and then top it with Optimum Opti Seal later on. The Opti Seal is a paint sealant but also works awesome on trim. You just wipe on and walk away since it just dissappears. The OS will really prolong the life of your trim.
